Ok, as a rule, in DF you should never:
- DIG: Digging is when you rapidly hit the direction keys against a wall to creat a "dig". This means that the person you're trapping has to "dig" further into the wall to continue following. This is a big no-no in DF unless you are using it to escape. Remember, DF is a low rubber game type and digging usually results in annoyance and/or an illegal kill. If you dig in a DF server you might hear people say things like "go back to HR" or "wtf you noob...."
- PLUG: A plug is a trap. It occurs when one player is trapping another and they come to the outside corner of a wall. The player does his corner trap but instead of turning and continuing along the outside of the wall, he turns back down his own path. This literally creates a plug on the corner and can result in an illegal kill.
- STAB: A stab is when a player runs straight into a wall and burns some of their rubber (keeps the head of their cycle against the wall for a second before turning) . This creates a dig and can be very annoying and/or deadly.
- SEAL: A seal is when you close somebody in so completely that the way out is fully sealed. You have to dig through this and it is usually fatal in a DF server.
- CAMP: I think most people know what camping is, but it's basically just not fighting and not dying. It doesn't matter if you think you are about to die or if you feel that you have to, it is not allowed. It's especially annoying in Armagetron because a camp site can be maintained for a long period of time. Don't do this, people will either make fun of you or kick you off of the server.
- RUN: It's called Dog Fight for a reason. Your supposed to fight! Don't run away, k?
- RIM: Rimming is when you just go around and around following the servers wall. This is very similar to camping and is very lame. Especially if you have somebody following in between yourself and the wall. Don't do it.
